Daisy’s surgeon said “The tumor is barely there and there are no problems with it around major blood supplies… This is gonna be easy!”
Praise the Lord!!! Surgery is scheduled for Monday. Love to you all!
So a friend of mine, Kasey Cronquist who works with companies that sell cut flowers, tells me that one of the places he visits, Rene Van Wingerden of Ocean Breeze, wanted to donate 5000 daisies to Daisy Love Merrick because he had heard about her having a recurrence of her wilms tumor. So Kasey and I picked them up this morning and dropped 3000 daisies of at Reality Carpinteria and then took the other 2000 to the Reality Ventura campus. Here is a picture of the 2000 at the Ventura campus. Kasey and I called it “Daisies For Daisy”. These daisies, I believe will be handed out as a reminder to be praying for Daisy Love Merrick.
Our First Journey Through Cancer
This video gives a quick snapshot of our first journey through cancer. Yesterday, we received the pathology reports confirming that Daisy has a recurring Wilms tumor with a favorable histology (not anaplastic – that’s good news!), and medically, she has a 30-50% cure rate.

As friends from around the world tell us they are praying for Daisy Love, we have been receiving questions about Daisy’s medical history and timeline. This is Daisy’s medical history since her first tumor in September of last year. So thankful for your prayers.
Just got disheartening news (preliminary only): Daisy is looking at only a 30-50% cure rate with chemo. Is. 41:10
Daisy is recovering well from surgery. Won’t have pathology until Friday. The waiting is horrible. Exploring alternative treatments.
Reading Job I realize: He was a better man than me, had bigger problems than me, but I have better friends than him!
